Download these bad boys and have some fun..

Once you have downloaded them, rename them to .exe

They are self-extracting files and will install automatically on your computer.

Earthquake Hazards Assignments

I have included a sample set of numbers on a spreadsheet (without formulas) to help with PSHA analysis. Copy the spreadsheet below

Student PSHA.xls

1. Given the Gutenberg-Richter Spreadsheet, calcualte a, b parameters.

GutenbergRichter.xls

Here is the one with formulas

PSHA.xls

2. Given the recurrence spreadsheet as a starting tool, generate the PSHA analysis as Kramer did,

for your specific level of acceleration (values between 0.02g and 0.55g). This spreadsheet needs some equations to be entered still for the case when there is a maximum limit to the earthquake.

Earthquake Hazards Links

I am compiling interesting links to web sites which have Earthquake hazard analysis methods or data available

A link to several educational resources (Thanks to N. Rodrigues)
