You have selected a particular object or area in one of the labs to draw. What I would like you to hand in are:
1. A written narrative (one page) on what you did and what AutoCad features you used in drawing and presenting the object.
2. A single sheet, three-view orthogonal drawing of your object (no dimensions on this). Use a size-A title sheet or other appropriate layout, and put a project title and your name on the sheet.
3. A second single sheet, single view, 2-d drawing with dimensions. Use the same style of size A title sheet as in (2).
4. A third single sheet, single view, showing the object in 3-d using the hide command. Use a view direction so that the viewer can see the object in 3-d. Don't use an orthogonal direction. Use size-A or appropriate title sheet as in (2).
5. A fourth single sheet, single view, showing a rendering of the object in 3-d. Use size-A title page for this as well.
6. A short Power-point presentation (5 minutes) of your drawing with the 4 drawings shown above. You may add a couple more slides if you want to explain more. Simple is better, special effects get tiring after the first 3 presentations.
The hard-copy report (1-5) is due the last day of class
The presentations will be given at exam time.
Note: You can use the same drawing to present all the output. Use different layout pages to present your information in steps 1-5.
First assignment is Problem Solving Exercise (PSE) - 1 on page 2-55 in Tickoo
Note that the little "phi" symbol means diameter of the circles. Note too that you should print this out and put your name in the lower right box.
